I am a writer, blogger, illustrator, photographer, cook and mother. Not necessarily in that order. Originally from Australia, I have lived in Florence for over a decade. It is this life immersed in the rich Italian food culture that inspired my three cookbooks, Florentine: The True Cuisine of Florence (2016), Acquacotta (2017) and Tortellini at Midnight (2019).
Most of all, I like to do things by hands, in a rather old fashioned way. My photographs are shot with film, my tea towels are printed by hand and I like to make dough on my counter, getting my hands dirty, rather than in a mixer.
